💧 Water meter replacement and installation in Riga and the Riga region - we get in touch within 5 min of your form

Pricing and quotes

We prepare an individual quote once we understand your situation. Free of charge and with no obligation.

Why there is no price list here

Publishing a table of prices might seem more convenient. In practice it is often misleading, because the price of water meter work depends on things that cannot be known in advance: how many meters there are, where they sit, whether they can be reached freely and whether the shut-off valves still work.

We take the other route — we find out what the situation is and then give you a specific figure that does not change. Receiving a quote is free and places you under no obligation.

The price is affected by the number of meters, how accessible they are and the condition of the metering point.

What the price depends on

🔢

Number of meters

Replacing several meters in one visit is usually better value than doing each separately — there is only one call-out.

🏠

Type of property

Apartments, private houses and commercial properties differ both technically and in the amount of work involved.

🔧

Access and condition

A meter that is hard to reach, or faulty shut-off valves, means more work.

📋

Scope of the service

Whether you need the replacement only, or also sealing and the paperwork.

What we include in a quote

Whenever we prepare a quote, we always state exactly what it covers — whether the meter is included, whether sealing and documents are part of the price, and whether there is anything that might require additional work. The aim is simple: the final invoice should match what we agreed.

Whole-building projects for property managers are priced differently — after a site survey, taking into account the number of apartments, the schedule and the amount of documentation involved. You can read more about that in the for property managers section.

How to get a quote

Fill in the request form, telling us the type of property, the number of meters and the service you need. If there is something you do not know, simply say that you would like advice. We will get in touch and work out the rest.

How to compare quotes

If you receive several quotes, you can rarely compare them on the final figure alone. Two quotes for the same amount can mean entirely different amounts of work. In practice it helps to check four things.

Whether the meter is included. Some quotes cover the labour only, and you have to buy the meter yourself. That is not a bad thing in itself, but you then need to add the cost of the meter, the trip to the shop and the risk of buying an unsuitable model.

Whether sealing is included. A meter that has been installed but not sealed does not yet count as sorted metering. If sealing is not included, ask who will do it and what it will cost.

Whether the documents are included. A replacement certificate with the recorded readings is what your property manager will ask for. Without one, you will have to work out how to document what happened yourself.

What happens if additional work comes to light. A faulty shut-off valve is a common situation. It is worth knowing in advance whether the contractor stops and asks in such a case, or simply adds it to the invoice.

What our quotes usually cover

Our approach is based on the full-service principle. When we prepare a quote, we always write down exactly what it covers, so that nothing is unclear later. That normally means selecting and delivering the meter, removing the old meter, installing the new one and checking that it works, and — as agreed — sealing and preparing the documents.

If something is not included in the quote, it is stated separately. The aim is simple: the amount we agreed is the amount on the invoice.

Multiple meters and whole-building work

If several meters need replacing at one property, that is almost always better value than doing each one separately. The reason is straightforward: the journey, the preparation and the paperwork happen once rather than several times. This applies both to two meters in a single apartment and to several metering points in a private house.

Apartment building projects for property managers are priced on a different logic. There, what matters is not only the installation but also the schedule, communication with residents, repeat visits to the apartments where nobody was home, and consolidated documentation. We prepare quotes of this kind after surveying the site — more in the for property managers section.

When verification is the better value

Customers sometimes assume that verification is always cheaper than replacement. In practice that is not always the case. In both scenarios the meter has to be removed and refitted, so the amount of work at the property is similar — what differs is what happens in between, and whether you end up with your old meter or a new one.

That is why we always look at the meter first and tell you which option seems more sensible in your particular situation. If we think verification is enough in your case, we will say so — even when replacement would be more profitable for us. You can read more about the differences between the two options in the verification arrangement section.

Questions about pricing

Why is there no price list on the website?
The price of water meter work depends on several factors: the number of meters, the type of property, how easy the meter is to reach and whether any additional work is needed, such as replacing shut-off valves. Rather than give you a misleading figure, we prepare a quote once we understand the situation.
What determines the final price?
The main factors are the number of meters, the type of property, how accessible the meter is and its technical condition. Replacing several meters in one visit is usually better value than doing each separately, because there is only one call-out. Whole-building projects are priced differently and are based on a site survey.
Is the price of the meter included?
Our quotes are built on a full-service principle — selecting and delivering the meter is part of the service. When we prepare a quote we set out exactly what it covers, so there are no surprises.
Is the quote free?
Yes. Submitting a request and receiving a quote places no obligation on you whatsoever.
